Quince Orchard's trapping defense forced 26 Whitman turnovers, and the Cougars connected on 9 three-pointers, helping the hosts knock off Whitman 65-49 Monday night in Gaithersburg. Whitman senior Jemal Cheatham led the Vikes with 12 points. Andrew Castagnetti scored 11. Whitman will travel to Magruder Wednesday night to battle the top-ranked Colonels. Tip off is set for 7 pm.

Whitman Senior Center Jemal Cheatham had 21 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 blocks to help lead Whitman to a 66-49 win Friday night in Bethesda. Jake Harrison scored 15 points, Andrew Castagnetti scored 9, and Daniel Lowet had 7 points and 7 rebounds. Whitman outscored Wheaton 16-4 in the third quarter to put the game away. Whitman will travel to Quince Orchard Monday night at 7.

Whitman senior center Jemal Cheatham had 14 points and 11 rebounds to pace the Vikes. Senior guard Jake Harrison scored 13 points and junior forward Andrew Castagnetti had 10. Sophomore guard Max Steinhorn, in his first varsity game, had 6 points, 4 assists, and 0 turnovers. Whitman will host Wheaton (a 51-40 loser to Richard Montgomery) on Friday night at 7.
